TTL compatible. Easy operation by simply pressing the shutter release button.
Compatible with TTL light control of Canon, Nikon, and Sony digital SLR cameras.
The TTL flash output is automatically adjusted so that macro photography can be easily performed by simply attaching the lens to the camera and pressing the shutter release button.
Fine Macro (micro-flash mode)
In addition to the manual mode (1/1 - 1/64 and -2/3EV in 1/3EV steps), the new Fine Macro (micro-flash) mode allows fine control of a micro-flash from 1/128 to 1/1024 in 1/6EV steps.
Light-emitting ring left/right light-intensity ratio control
The flash ring is divided into left and right A and B rings, and in TTL mode, 15 flash ratios can be selected at 1/2 EV increments. In manual mode, the left and right rings can be adjusted separately or shifted simultaneously while maintaining the same light intensity ratio.
Flash ring opens and closes according to the lens aperture (compatible with lenses from 49mm to 77mm).
When the aperture of the macro lens is large, the light-emitting part can be opened to reduce vignetting.
Modeling LED lamp convenient for focusing on a subject
The modeling lamp makes focusing easy. The light intensity ratio of the modeling lamp changes according to the light intensity ratio of the flash ring, making it useful for checking the lighting effect in advance.
Wireless TTL Master Function
The MF18 is equipped with a wireless TTL master function that allows you to control a strobe with a wireless TTL remote function in groups A and C* separately from the main body flash ring.
The channel settings are 1 to 4, and the mode can be selected from TTL (-3.0 to +3.0, 1/2 EV step) or manual (1/128 to 1/1, 1/3 EV step).
*The value set in Group C of the wireless TTL mode of this camera will be applied to the remote strobes set in Groups A and C. (A and C cannot be controlled separately.)
